• The Marvellous Machine

  • About me

I am a Paris-based artist, specialising in artistic nudes. I create mainly works on paper. My work focuses on the form and the motion of the human figure and is deeply grounded in my biomedical background. I am in particularly interested in capturing the constant transitions the human body undergoes throughout life.

I run the Untitled Factory, a little art hub in Paris for local and international artists interested in human form.

  • Upcoming exhibits

“The Marvellous Machine” project is a series of human anatomy drawings to honour the great master himself, Leonardo da Vinci, on the 500th anniversary of his death. The series uses a selection of da Vinci’s illustrations and reinterprets them but, most importantly, it extends the scope of da Vinci’s anatomy research, introducing the aspects of gender, race and ageing, as well as depicting some pathological conditions. The series draws upon my interest in how bodies evolve over time. “The Marvellous Machine” will be exhibited in Paris at Untitled Factory (32 rue Gabrielle, 75018 Paris) this November.

“Les Femmes Vaines" (“The Vain Women”) exhibit at Studio Cadres (17 Avenue des Prés, 94260 Fresnes) features my recent drawings and charcoal sketches. These works are part of "The Marvellous Machine” project. The “Les Femmes Vaines" title draws upon Da Vinci’s famous “Monna Vanna” drawing, also know as the nude Mona Lisa.

A solo exhibit of my watercolours depicting intimate moments between lovers, both slightly nostalgic and mirroring our own troublesome romantic relationships. The fragility that underlies their relationship is expressed in their little gestures and elusive gazes and creates tension and a sense of approaching drama. You can read more about the show here.
